George started his public speaking career by being a co-facilitator for a workshop series called, The Choice Advantage Workshop. Through this he started speaking about the value of work to his recovery for groups like Social Security, the Ticket to Work Program, and others. He gave his first formal presentation to his coworkers at a quarterly staff meeting and his supervisor encouraged him to submit it to a national APSE conference. It was accpeted and before he knew it he was off to San Diego & beyond!
